Reflection and Integration with light refreshments we’ll share some reflections
We'll start the afternoon warming you into the space. A time to get to know one another, set intentions and establish the safe and supportive environment.
Letty will lead a short meditation and breathing exercise to help ground you in the space. This is essential for preparing the body for the movement practice.
We'll then step in to playful and mindful movement techniques and methods guided by Ayanna. Tune into your bodily sensations. Focus on physical awareness and releasing tension. Explore how emotions and thoughts manifest and take form.
Freya will share the symbolic nature of clay—its connection to the earth, its malleability, and its potential for creative expression. You'll understand how to handle and work with the clay. You’ll be invited to engage with the clay this could involve shaping the clay in response to the movements explored or using movement to inspire the creation.
(This stage emphasise the tactile and sensory experience, allowing participants to externalise their internal experiences)
As we wrap up over some tea and light refreshments we’ll share some reflections. This is a time for processing and to discuss what was discovered or expressed. You will be invited to write about the emotions, thoughts, or insights that arose during the session.
This workshop is a powerful way to explore the connection between the body and creativity, offering a space for both physical and emotional expression through movement and tactile art-making. To take away an enhanced awareness of how physical movement and creativity and intertwined. Limited tickets available.
Dress: wear clothes you are comfortable in to move around and you don't mind getting messy with clay. It generally does wash out of most clothes.
